Bangladesh 2009

This project will be part of a book and an exhibition in Crete, Greece.

I sensed a very strange and distant mood of gloom and doom slowly approaching. The waters are changing sides while constantly rising. The elixir of life is dying of salt and pollution while the people flood the big cities on their struggle to find a place to live. Stuck in the daily traffic jams talking to my friend Nayeem I thought that really the frustrating part is the frustration becoming normality.
A study of the London School of Economics revealed that the happiest people on earth live in Bangladesh, which could very well be true. My main goal was to find a photographic language showing this antagonism.
